Windows 7 Restart after Hibernate problem

November 11, 2011

The problem with rebooting right after hibernate has to do with the devices allowed to
wake the computer. Go to device manager and pull up properties on the mouse, keyboard,
and network cards. In each go to the Power Management tab and uncheck the "Allow to
wake computer" box. If you do want to wake on lan check the "magic packet only" option.

One of these devices are waking the computer after it hibernates. You can easily
eliminate the one by not allowing any of them to wake the computer. Hope this is a
helpful solution to your Windows 7 Hibernate problem.

OOOOhhhh, I was wondering why my computer was waking up
right after putting it to sleep. Thanks a bunch!
